Tell us a bit about yourself. How did you begin blogging? Erica_NJ

Hi, my name is Erica and I am 25 years old. I live in New Jersey with my husband Mike and our 2 kids, Rowan (6 yrs old) and Giuliana (2 yrs old). I’ve always had a great passion for keeping up with the latest styles, putting outfits together and expressing myself through fashion. When I was younger, I kept a daily journal of everything I wore to school to avoid wearing the same look twice, so blogging for me is just an extension of that to share with the world.

Define your style in 3 words.

Casual, edgy, classy.

Where do you get your style inspiration?

My inspiration comes from magazines, other bloggers, and my own personal style. I like to experiment with clothes and shoes already in my closet to create different looks and of course add new, exciting pieces to my wardrobe that are trending.

What do you like best about living in New Jersey?

I love that I am centrally located between the city and the beach! I am only a half hour from Philly, and hour and a half from NYC, and less than an hour from the South Jersey beaches!

Are there any regional styles you notice that may not be as prevalent in other areas?

Regional styles do vary vastly even in my own area because I am located between 2 major cities and the shore resorts.  The closer you live to the city the more acceptable the trendier outfits are as compared to the shore resort area where they take a more casual approach to fashion. I do believe, though, that people on the east coast tend to be more “safe” with color choices, choosing more neutral colors and basic black than bright, bold colors. The east coast look this season has been leather, blazers, skinny jeans, booties, and designer bags.

What is your favorite local attraction?

My all time favorite place is the Ocean City Boardwalk in South Jersey, known for their rides, pizza, fudge and caramel popcorn! My family spent every summer down the shore, so the boardwalk is a tradition that I now I pass on with my own kids.

What is one trend you’re excited about wearing as the warmer weather comes in?

Rompers! I recently bought a floral print romper from Nordstrom and I am so excited to wear it!

As someone who’s relatively new to the blogging scene (September 2013), what advice do you have for up-and-coming style bloggers?

My advice would be to stay true to who you are, and be patient if you don’t see an instant jump in page views. It can take a few months to get any sort of recognition, but once that first comment appears on your blog, it’s the beginning of your blogging career! In the blogging world, it is important to find that one thing that will separate you from the crowd and bring your audience something interesting to look forward to reading every day! People will notice you!

What is your favorite piece of jewelry you own and why?

Besides my engagement ring, I would have to say my David Yurman cable bracelet that my husband gave to me as an anniversary gift last year. My Grandmother owns several of his pieces, so growing up I’ve always had my eye on his collection; it’s special to me because it reminds me of playing dress up with my Grandmother’s jewelry.

What is your favorite piece from EvesAddiction.com right now?

I really love the Tiffany Style 18K Gold Plated Wide Cuff Bracelet. I’m really into subtle pieces that make a statement and this cuff is perfect! I also prefer anything in gold!
