Between the robots and the wedding dresses and the interesting hat choices at last night’s 56th Grammy Awards, there was a whole lot of fashion happening on the red carpet. We spotlighted three of the major celebrity trends we noticed from the Grammys’ overall classy attire.
A statement metallic dress with matching metal accessories was a major red carpet trend at this year’s Grammys. The shine was definitely on for Grammy hopeful Taylor Swift who wore a super-sparkly chainmail-like Gucci gown. Though she didn’t take home any Grammys this year, T-Swift did top the best dressed list, matching her shimmering gown to a pair of square dangle earrings. John Legend’s wife and model Chrissy Teigen rocked a plunging gold sequinned gown with a lengthy slit, complimented by matching cushion cut earrings. Rita Ora joined the metallic party in a green, metallic, long-sleeved dress with a matching clutch and hands covered in different styles of cocktail rings.
Another noteworthy red carpet trend was winter white gowns. The two most talked about were Beyonce and Paris Hilton. Beyonce flaunted a stunning white lace dress with her fingers stacked with cocktail rings. Paris wore a white gown with similar nude panels, but she wasn’t nearly as blinged out. If we had to choose who did it better, of course the nod goes to Queen B.
Quite a few celebrities were radiant in red at the Grammys, such as Pink who paired some beautiful peardrop dangle earrings and a diamond bracelet and ring combination with her stunning red dress. Colbie Caillat also looked classy and bold in her red gown with a feathered high-neckline paired with some classic teardrop earrings. Our absolute favorite red carpet ensemble belonged to Miranda Lambert, who still looked incredibly classy even with a plummeting neckline with satin accents paired with stacked bangles and bold earrings.
And then of course there was…
Pharrell’s hat. This interesting fashion choice got its own Twitter account within minutes, making the Producer of the Year winner one of the most memorable fashion statements of the night. And of course we’ve got to give you our best effort at getting the look for less:
