Mokume Gane was originally a mixed-metal art form used for sword making in early 17th century Japan. The technique is to bond different metals layered together to create one piece, which is then molded into jewelry. The fusion creates a distinct “wood pattern” when flattened out and is a very difficult skill to learn.
Our stainless steel mokume gane rings are a stunning representative of this form of jewelry making. With a textured surface and a swirling wood grain design, these rings are very fashionable and make great wedding rings for a guy. Engrave a message, name or date on the inside and you have an instant personalized keepsake.
